Volunteering at GWGF

Welcome! Thank you for being a Great West GymFest volunteer!  You are an important part of one of the most exciting gymnastics competitions in the Northwest! We appreciate YOU!!

Parking:

There is free street parking available around the Coeur d Alene Resort!

If you are going to park in the Resort parking tower your name MUST be on the volunteer sign up sheet from signup.com. The attendants will cross check this list when you go into the garage. When you finish your shift you will borrow one of our guest passes and then return it back to operations.

If you choose to park in the City Lot there is no validation for parking.

Dress:

Please wear Avant Coeur gear or pick up a Volunteer t-shirt before your Volunteer shift.

Those volunteering for set up or tear down shifts do not need to wear volunteer attire.

Check In:

You will enter through the Front End of the Resort Convention Center and go to the Ticket Counter to pick up your families’ Volunteer bracelets (if you don’t have them yet).  Once you enter please pick up your volunteer T-shirt in the Operations Room (on the right just before the bathrooms). Then you can head to the last bay in the hallway on the Right, the Beauty Bay Room.  In the Beauty Bay Room – the Volunteer Room – where you can stash any gear you do not want to have with you while you are volunteering.

Food:

ACTIVE volunteers may eat in the Volunteer Room (Beauty Bay Room) if you have 2 or more shifts in a row!  All food MUST be eaten in the Volunteer Room, please do not take it into the gym or any other areas.  Please help us to keep kids who are not ACTIVELY volunteering from ‘hanging out’ or ‘grazing’ in this room. 

YOU are an ambassador!

Please remember, as a volunteer you are an ambassador of the GWGF and Avant Coeur Gymnastics.  It is your happy, energetic and FUN attitude that sets the tone and energy of the entire meet.  As a volunteer for GWGF we are flexible and accommodating. The answer is YES!  If you do not know the answer, find the person who does!  Please ALWAYS make the effort to help anyone who needs your assistance!
